🚀 YouTube Rocket — Privacy Policy

1. Overview

This extension ("YouTube Rocket") routes user traffic through a personal proxy server to provide access to video content. The extension collects the minimal data required for the proxy service to function.

2. Data We Collect

2.1. Device identifier (deviceId)

• Generated locally as a random UUID on first install
• Stored in chrome.storage.local
• Used to associate a free-tier proxy account with the user's browser
• Sent to our backend (https://youtuberocket.ru) as a query parameter

2.2. Browser fingerprint

• Non-reversible base64-encoded string derived from User-Agent, screen size, language, time zone
• Used for account re-association when the user clears browser data
• Sent to the backend as a query parameter

2.3. User IP address

• Observed by the backend when the extension makes API requests
• Used for rate limiting (max 50 free accounts per IP, to prevent abuse)
• NOT shared with third parties

2.4. Email address (premium subscribers only)

• Provided by the user during checkout
• Used to deliver premium credentials and renewal notifications
• Stored encrypted at rest

2.5. Traffic usage statistics

• The proxy server counts bytes transferred per account
• Resets weekly (free) or monthly (premium)
• Used to enforce the free-tier quota (10 GB/week by default)
• Displayed in the extension's popup UI

3. What We Do NOT Collect

The extension does NOT collect or transmit:

• Browsing history
• URLs visited (PAC routing is performed locally)
• Search queries
• Form data or input content
• Cookies
• Webcam or microphone data

4. How Traffic Is Routed

The extension uses chrome.proxy.settings with a PAC script:

• Proxies ONLY requests to YouTube-related domains
• Routes ALL other requests DIRECTLY (bypassing the proxy)
• Banking, social media, email — does NOT pass through the proxy

5. Data Storage

• Local storage: deviceId, fingerprint, login, obfuscated password, traffic counters
• Session storage: active proxy credentials (cleared on browser close)
• Backend server: account data, encrypted at rest

6. Third-Party Services

• Lava — payment processing for premium subscriptions
• Resend — transactional email delivery

Neither receives your deviceId, fingerprint, IP, or browsing data.

7. User Rights

You have the right to:

• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Opt out by uninstalling the extension
• Reset your device identifier by clearing the extension's local storage

8. Children's Privacy

The extension is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
